KSB recognizes individuals, organizations and businesses for good designs and special services which contribute to the goal of keeping Sedona beautiful.

Each year, a special committee of KSB goes about a very difficult job selecting those to be honored from a list which comes from a variety of sources. The members of the selection committee work through many meetings and site visits to study the proposed recipients. (The committee members' identities are not made public.)

To select recipients for the year 2001, the committee deliberated over a long list of worthy candidates, using guidelines which have been developed over KSB's 29 years of presenting awards.

It should be especially noted that these KSB awards are not given lightly, and that they are for specific accomplishments.
