The Sedona Fire District and its partners invite all residents in the Sedona area to a community meeting on wildfire preparedness on April 2, 2025 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Sedona Performing Arts Center on 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Rd.
Residents will hear a presentation from a panel of representatives from the Sedona Fire District, the city of Sedona, Yavapai and Coconino counties, the Coconino National Forest, Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management, Arizona Public Service (APS) and Arizona Water Company on:
- Evacuation planning
- The Know Your Zone effort
- Ready, Set, Go knowledge and emergency preparedness
- Firewise proactive steps to take
- Wildfire fuel types in Sedona versus other areas
- Water pressure and fire hydrant capacity in Sedona
- Power line inspections, vegetation management, wildfire monitoring technology and the limited APS Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) program for the Oak Creek Canyon and Forest Road 525 areas
- Emergency alerts from the city and counties to sign up for
There will be a Q and A session for residents to ask questions.
