Joy Kimmel is a certified Master Gardener and lifelong botanist/biologist. Joy’s Master’s Degree in botany focused on plant taxonomy issues, and she has spent most of her adult life identifying this or that native plant. After college, Joy taught life and physical sciences in a California community college, and then spent many years working for the Forest Service before she retired and joined the Master Gardener community.
