Are You Ready to Pick Up the Small Stuff?

Join the KSB Micro-Trash Trail Team!

Small actions make a visible difference. Our new Micro-Trash Trail Team membership invites locals and visitors alike to help pick up the tiny litter that can harm Sedona’s trails and wildlife.

Keep Sedona Beautiful has a long history of turning care into action. The KSB Litter Lifters roadside cleanup program began on December 11, 1971, and in 2021 it marked 50 years of service. Now that same spirit is moving from local roads onto the trails through Preserving the Wonder.

The Micro-Trash program focuses on the small litter that many people miss, but that still harms the landscape. Bits of plastic, food wrappers, twist ties, tissues, bottle caps, and other tiny debris may seem minor, but they add up quickly. They affect the trail’s beauty, can harm wildlife, and leave the wrong impression on others.

Join the Micro-Trash Trail Team to protect Sedona’s trails one small piece at a time.

At the $75 membership level, participants join this new effort and receive a Preserving the Wonderinsulated metal water bottle, a certificate, and one Micro-Trash sticker. Sticker levels are available for 5 trails, 10 trails, 15 trails, and 25 trails. The program works on the honor system. We trust people to participate in good faith and take pride in helping care for this remarkable place.

And here’s the best part! Whether you are a local resident or a returning visitor who loves Sedona, this is an easy and meaningful way to give back. Bring a small bag and glove on your hike, pick up micro-trash when you see it, and help leave the trail better than you found it. Every small action makes a visible difference.
