Land Use is becoming of increasing concern as we become more aware of how critical it is to protect and preserve the land.

Our Dark Skies Initiative continues to be one of the more successful that we have engaged in. Sedona, the Village of Oak Creek, Camp Verde and Cottonwood have all earned certification as Dark Sky Cities by the International Dark Sky Association.  Others in our area are seeking certification.

We continue to focus on Noise Abatement. After five years of diligent work, we helped facilitate a voluntary agreement to reduce helicopter noise in Sedona.

The Sustainable Tourism Plan aims to make Sedona a model for the country. KSB is active in implementing the tactics that will help achieve that goal.

KSB is a founding member of the Sustainability Alliance, a group of local non-profits that share a vision to transform the Verde Valley into a model of sustainability and resilience.

Water use and Conservation will remain a key issue to Northern Arizona, particularly as the impacts of climate change accelerate.
