Gene Twaronite is a writer whose short stories and essays have appeared in numerous literary journals and magazines. He is the author of the middle grade novel The Family That Wasn’t. A retired Instructional Specialist with the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, he was previously employed as a Horticultural Specialist at the ASU Arboretum. When not writing, he tends his five acre native plant garden in west Chino Valley, which showcases a growing collection of native cold hardy cacti and other succulents.
