chambersbatCarol Chambers is a professor of wildlife ecology at Northern Arizona University’s School of Forestry. She has worked with bats for 15 years studying their habitat use and ecological roles in the Southwest. In her past life she worked as a naturalist for two county parks and recreation departments (Kentucky and Virginia) where she only got to admire bats from a distance. After completing her PhD at Oregon State University, she landed in the lovely Southwest where the bat community is the most diverse and interesting in the US.
