Arizona’s Governor Katie Hobbs unsealed a previously unreleased report showing that demand for water in Phoenix’s West Valley exceeds the 100-year supply.
“We must talk about the challenge of our time: Arizona’s decades-long drought, over usage of the Colorado River, and the combined ramifications on our water supply, our forests, and our communities,” Governor Hobbs said.

This is a significant step toward facing the issue of our finite water supply directly and realistically, although anticipated new development will only make the problem more severe.
