Sunset Valley Farms, LLC (SVF) submitted a Letter of Intent to Yavapai County requesting rezoning of 132 acres from RCU-2A (Residential; Rural) to PAD (Planned Area Development).
SVF plans approximately 2,000 housing units, 6 artificial lakes and structures up to 5 stories. They have submitted a request for a height variance “that would apply over the entire PAD/project”.
The November 22 issue of the Red Rock News notes that the developers’ purchase of the land is contingent on successful rezoning. The developer is quoted as saying, “The plan right now would be to sell pieces of the property off to other developers or for us to have joint ventures with others.”
